VERSATILITY Renegade enables you to be a commuter in the morning, leader of the after-work group ride and take off for a 300-mile bikepacking expedition over the weekend. All with a single bicycle. With over 20 fork and frame mounts you can now choose to mount fenders, rear carrier, low-rider front carrier (or two cages for water bottles/storage) and three front triangle water bottles. We set out to ensure every Renegade rider will experience the ultimate in adventure bike performance regardless of their frame size. Most of our competitors simply design one fork and strap it to every frame size. While this may work just fine for a bicycle that's designed to be ridden with a single tire size (think a road racing bike), it significantly impacts the handling and ride quality of an adventure bike when swapping out your 28's for 32s, 40s or even 47mm tires. Add size specific tubing, where we vary the diameter of the frame tubing depending on frame size and 2 different sized rear triangles and you have what we feel is the perfect adventure geometry for all sized riders and the best riding adventure bike period. DESIGNED FOR ADVENTURE Adventure Frame Design – We redesigned the new Renegade from the ground up to be the ultimate modern-day gravel bike. From a frame design perspective, our goal was to create a well-balanced, responsive handling bike with a compliant ride feel. How did we do this? We paired a stretched top-tube with a slightly shorter stem, while also lowering the bottom bracket and lengthening the wheelbase to put the rider more “in” the bike. Combine these improvements with our Size-Specific Design (SSD) philosophy and what we’ve got is a fantastically capable platform. The new Renegade is fast, fun, and will take you anywhere you dare to go. Adventure Fork Design – Having the ability to adjust handling characteristics is key for a platform as versatile as Renegade. Our new fork design features flip chips that allow adjustment between 50mm and 55mm offset. The upper position (50mm) allows for increased stability at higher speeds and is the ideal setting for gravel riders. The lower position (55mm) provides more responsive steering, which is ideal for an all-road setup. FULL RANGE Featuring design that allows riders of all sizes, disciplines, and budgets to ride comfortably on-road, off-road, and everywhere in between, Renegade is ready for action no matter which model you ride. TOP FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW Our lightweight & durable aluminum Laser frame is easier to pedal than steel. The 20” Laser actually offers two types of brakes: a standard rear coaster brake, which most youngsters are familiar with, and a rear V-brake which many are not. Having the rear coaster brake as a back-up, allows youngsters to get used to hand-braking without going cold-turkey on the coaster brake they are comfortable with. Our alloy rims are anodized black to provide even greater corrosion and rust resistance than the alloy already possesses. Before wheels are laced and trued, the rim sidewalls are ground to provide a smooth braking surface for the rear V-brake. We build the Laser 2.0 wheels with 36 spokes in a 3-cross lacing pattern for a strong & durable wheel. Then mount knobby BMX tires that bite in the dirt, but also feature a rounded profile that rolls smoothly on neighborhood streets & driveways. Every Laser 2.0 offers a kickstand for parking that pride & joy up securely, and a safety bell to announce that the Laser has arrived.
